Or was it a Chocolate Silk Pie?
Food from the heart.
There are few things that are as delicious as a chocolate silk pie. That's where my journey began, at the age of 9. I wanted to make this delicacy, but I didn't know how to say it. So using my mom's Better Homes and Garden Cookbook, I made a decent Boston cream pie, but it wasn't a chocolate silk pie. I was disappointed. But that's where it began. My passion for great food despite the costs has been my goal for as long as I remember. When you taste food from Amber's Kitchen, that's what you can expect. Great food made from the heart.
From a Chocolate Pie to a French Pastry Shop
Art into Food
For someone who grew up on the cowboy rodeo circuit, it might seem strange that I found my way into a French Pastry shop learning from Oliver Campe, in Ft. Collins. Yet, both require a determination for perfection, or risk failure. Both elegant and simple, efficient and complex, learning to craft this delicacy is where my true training began. Since that fateful day when I flipped my first Crepe, I have worked in all types of culinary disciplines. From pasta houses and pubs to outdoor dude ranches and culinary camps, when you taste my food you'll taste cuisine that uses pure ingredients, and tastes real.
